Xiao Bao Biscuit Gets a Patio and Some New Paint

Asian comfort food purveyors and Rutledge Street hotness Xiao Bao Biscuit gave their exterior a makeover, just in time for Charleston's fake spring. They've also tweaked the menu a bit, adding more new family-style options, like the "clams from nowhere."

The mural of Sun Wukong (aka the powerful Monkey King from the Chinese epic novel The Journey to the West) was done by David Boatwright, the artist who painted the famous grits girl on the side of Hominy Grill. Boatwright said he was creating his own version of the mythic character.
