Top Chef in Town; "Goat-ober" at Hominy Grill

DOWNTOWN On Wednesday, October 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Top Chef Season 6 contestant and fan favorite Kevin Gillespie is signing his new book, Fire in My Belly, at Heirloom Book Co. The event is open to the public.

DOWNTOWN On Sunday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m., Hominy Grill is hosting a goat-themed dinner, where Chef Robert Stehling will serve sustainable meats and cheeses in a number of different dishes. The $85 price also includes wine. For reservations call 843-937-0930 or email goatober@hominygrill.com.

DOWNTOWN On Saturday, November 10, the Lowcountry Hoedown, an event that's pairing bluegrass music with local booze and food, will be taking place in the bus shed at 375 Meeting St. Restaurants like Home Team BBQ and Smoky Oak Taproom will be there, as well as breweries and distilleries, like Holy City Brewing and Bulleit Bourbon. Tickets, which include food and drinks, are $50 in advance and can be purchased here.
