The Alley: Home Team BBQ, Minus the Barbecue?

Earlier this year downtown residents were thrilled to hear that Sullivan's Island and West Ashley's favorite barbeque joint Fiery Ron's Home Team BBQ would be coming to the peninsula and running the kitchen of The Alley, the new bar and lanes opening on Columbus Street. But don't expect to celebrate those strikes with a smoked pork sandwich in hand.

The Home Team crew won't be focusing on barbecue in the new location. Instead, they're calling themselves Home Team Kitchen and will be serving...well, that's still an unknown. Mustard-barbecue devastation aside, progress is being made on The Alley and balls might be rolling as early as October. The menu will be finalized next week, so expect an update soon.
