Charleston Grill's Andrew Marshall is now one of only 3 advanced sommeliers in Charleston, South Carolina. While working alongside Advanced Sommelier Rick Rubel at the Charleston Grill, he completed the Court of Master Sommelier's Introductory Sommelier Course and passed the Certified Sommelier Exam in 2011. He passed the exam this month in Washington DC, joining a esteemed group of fellow sommeliers worldwide. Now he is setting his eyes on a master sommelier designation, of which there only 129 in all of North America.
A critical member of Charleston Grill's wine team, Andrew says his most most memorable wine was the 1983 E. Guigal "La Landonne" Côte-Rôtie because " it changed my outlook on what wine can be. An experience to be shared with others while creating a perfect combination of food and wine."
