Charleston based restaurant group The Indigo Road, owners of Oak Steakhouse, O-Ku, The Macintosh, and The Cocktail Club, are trying their luck in the Columbia, SC market. The newest venture, to be named the Oak Table, will highlight local products and will feature classic American cuisine.

Joseph Jacobson, currently the executive chef of Oak Steakhouse, is relocating to Columbia to head up the new restaurant and sous chef Brendan Levin will be promoted to chef de cuisine at Oak.

Steve Palmer, Managing Partner of Indigo Road, had this to say about the new concept: "I have the special and rewarding opportunity to inspire team members to grow and flourish in new endeavors. This is an exciting chance for chefs Jacobson and Levin to gain independence and shine."
