In honor of Memorial Day, Southern Living did a round up of the best burgers in the Carolinas and Charleston made the list three times! Giving credit to The Macintosh, Moe's Crosstown Tavern, and Poe's Tavern for their great burgers, there were a couple of places that were notably absent, including the ever-popular Husk burger.

At Poe's Tavern in Sullivan's Island, all of the burgers are named for Edgar Allen Poe tales. SL suggests the "Annabelle Lee," a burger topped with a Charleston style crab cake and fresh vegetable Remoulade sauce ($11.75).

At Moe's Crosstown Tavern, finally reopened after an epic year of construction, go for the "Eye-Opener" topped with bacon, cheddar and a fried egg ($7.75).

The Macintosh serves "The Mac," an 8 oz. house ground burger with aged cheddar and Nueske's bacon and Pecorino Truffle fries ($13). Now you can get this one late night, too.
