All Signs Point to a December Opening for The Ordinary

Earlier in the week, the windows at The Ordinary were covered in brown paper, making it impossible to glimpse inside and see what's going on in FIG chef Mike Lata's new seafood and oyster hall. Yesterday, he tweeted a picture of a shiny, new Grade A Retail Food Establishment Permit. He captioned the snap "Good day for @eatattheordinary," but it's really good news for oyster lovers in Charleston. According to the DHEC website, a permit is only issued when "all systems are turned on so that in theory you could open for business that day."

Last month, it was announced that FIG GM and creator of Jack Rudy's Tonic Brooks Reitz would be moving over to The Ordinary. And for the past few weeks, Lata's posted a few clam and oyster shell shots and he tweeted to Vogue that there was "a shot of a 2012 opening." Consider the countdown officially on.
