Yesterday, the FIG duo Mike Lata and Adam Nemirow christened The Ordinary, their new oyster and seafood hall, and proceeded to sell out of food before 10p.m. Housed in a bank from the 1920s, the building itself is incredible, with 22-foot ceilings and 16-foot windows. The design team, which included Lata, Nemirow, architect David Thompson and their contract, used lots of elements from local companies and artisans throughout, like the reclaimed wood floors from and the light fixtures that hang down over the oak and marble tables.
