Menu Porn: Take a Look at The Ordinary's Lineup

With up to eight different varieties on the raw bar, Mike Lata's The Ordinary is certainly going to be a festival of oysters starting this very evening. Look for East Coast favorites, like Wellfleets and Caper's Blades, and the occasional haul from the West Coast as well.

But it's not all bivalves all the time. The James Beard award winner is also preparing cold fish and salads, sandwiches, shellfish towers, hot fish and soups and extras, like sea salt potato chips and Hawaiian rolls. As Stephanie Barna at City Paper pointed out, Lata's New England upbringing shows through, like with the pate served with brown bread (an old Boston tradition) and, of course, the lobster roll. Spoken like a true Massachusetts native, Lata is confident in serving lobster in the Lowcountry because he's "got a guy in Maine" as his supplier. What he is unsure about, however, is how long the roll will be on the menu. The full menu is being served starting tonight at 5:30 p.m.
