The Green Door, the stationary joint by the Roti Rolls team that's now nestled inside dive bar extraordinaire Big John's Tavern, is certified open. Of course, they're making the wraps that made them famous, but they're also serving a pork belly sandwich, salad in a Mason jar and more, like a burger that's topped with Thai chili pimento cheese, kimchi, hoisin aioli and arugula.
The opening day menu was less sprawling than their six-course preview dinner, which featured fish heads and beef tongue paired with grits. Only time will tell if the more eclectic dishes will make it back into the mix but, for now, revel in the fact that there's a place to get loaded tots downtown into the wee hours on weekends.
