The Wait for The Alley is OVER

Yes, The Alley is opening today, which means Home Team Heads will no longer have to drive to the far-ish reaches of the Lowcountry to dig into their award-winning meats. Sure, Home Team Kitchen is a somewhat barbecue-free zone, but Fiery Ron Siegel and his band of merry meatsters (like chef Taylor Garrigan) have pulled together a new down-home menu that has a few echoes of the original Home Team BBQ concept.

Keeping in the tradition of its predecessors, there's green chili, served over nachos or in a bowl, and a take on their famous mac and cheese. Unlike the barbecue joints, there's also a selection of what they're now calling "feel good foods," like french bread pizzas, po boys, a double-stacked burger, and heftier entrees, like spaghetti and meatballs and steak and eggs. There's a sprawling bar downstairs and a smaller one upstairs and, of course, the lanes and various arcade games. The hours are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
